She is currently an assistant professor in the Department of Educational Psychology, Research, and Foudnations at the University of South Carolina, Columbia, South Carolina.   Community and Family Health, College of Public Health, University of South Florida, Tampa, Florida.  She performed graduate research work evaluating two teen pregnancy prevention projects where she was responsible for cleaning, managing and analyzing data, preparing written reports of findings, and assisting in manuscript development. Bethany also served as a research associate at the Center for Research, Evaluation, Assessment, and Measurement where she was involved in the evaluation of variety of projects, including the Parents as Partners Literacy Project, a new hands-on elementary school science curriculum and an American Cancer Society clinical trial database.  Bethany also oversaw the FACES of Lung Cancer project - a photodocumentary approach to lung cancer, that will lead to the development of a photo-essay, book, and brochure - "Faces of Lung Cancer". She was also responsible for the evaluation of the project, including creating the evaluation tools and analyzing the data.

Ms. Bell received her B.A. in Sociology at Mary Washington College, Fredericksburg, Virginia.  She received her Masters in Public Health University of Oklahoma Health Sciences Center, Oklahoma City, Oklahoma.  She received her PhD in Educational Measurement & Research with a concentration in Community and Family Health at the University of South Florida, Tampa, Florida.
