Jeff Raymond - Executive Director Jeff Raymond

Jeff received a B.S. in biology from the University of Tulsa. While at the university, he was a member of the Sigma Chi Fraternity and studied in Spain and China. Jeff also attended journalism school at the University of Oklahoma, where he wrote for The Oklahoma Daily, the student newspaper at OU.

Jeff came to OKWatchdog from The Oklahoman — the state’s largest newspaper — where he covered health care and education. While at the newspaper, Jeff researched complex stories and didn’t shy away from hard-hitting reporting. He often appeared on an affiliate’s newscast and conducted studio interviews of newsmakers for broadcast online.

Prior to returning to Oklahoma, Jeff worked on the U.S.-Mexico border, covering city government for The Brownsville Herald and the South Padre Island area for the Valley Morning Star. Jeff began his journalism career covering county government for the Kerrville Daily Times in the Texas Hill Country.

Jeff has won awards from the Texas Associated Press Managing Editors and the Texas Press Association.

While in college, Jeff worked for Fox 23 News in Tulsa as a production assistant, where he learned the ins and outs of producing a quality newscast.

Jeff also has experience in politics, having volunteered for campaigns and completed public service internships in Tulsa and Washington, D.C.
